How to: Set up hardware key assignments in iCUE

When you create custom key assignments in iCUE, you can save those key assignments onto the onboard memory of your Corsair keyboard or mice. This means you can continue to use those key assignments when iCUE is not running or you use them on a system that does not have iCUE installed.

NOTE: Some options will not be available for hardware key assignments, as those options requires iCUE running in the background.

Setting up hardware key assignments

NOTE: These instructions are for iCUE version 4 or newer. You can still set up hardware key assignments in iCUE version 3, but the user interface of iCUE will be different.

To set up hardware key assignments:

  1. Open iCUE.
  2. Select the device you want to assign hardware key assignments to.
  3. Select Hardware Key Assignments on the left menu.
  4. Click the + button in the Assignments section.
  5. Select key assignment type you want in the Assignment Type section.

  6. Customize the key assignment.
  7. Click Device Settings on the left menu.
  8. Go to the Onboard Memory section and select a slot to save the profile in.
    • The number of onboard memory slots will vary by device. If all slots are full, you will need to overwrite one of the slots.
