AIO Cooler: Cooler not detected by iCUE after restarting the PC
If your cooler is not detected in iCUE after restarting your PC, it might be because of a software conflict. Running other software that controls RGB components can deactivate your Corsair cooler interface driver.
Please note that your cooler will continue to operate as normal even if it isn’t detected in iCUE. Your cooler functionality will not be affected beyond being unable to change the RGB LED and alternating between cooling profiles.
The following software has been known to conflict with iCUE when not up to date:
- EVGA PrecisionXOC
- MSI Mystic Light/MSI Center/Afterburner
- Asus AuraRGB/Aura Sync/Armory Crate
- Gigabyte RGB Fusion
- NZXT Cam
- Wallpaper Engine
The best way to check for a conflict is to uninstall any conflicting software. If you do not want to uninstall the software ensure that any RGB or Hardware Monitoring software is kept up to date. You can also try deactivating the RGB controls in the conflicting software.
Conflicts are usually due to out-of-date software so updating any possible program is the best first step.
Once you have resolved the detection issue you can then reinstall any removed programs if that is the step taken to troubleshoot a conflict.
Finally, you can try manually reactivating the driver after restarting your PC. To manually restart:
- Open iCUE.
- Click the Settings icon on the upper right.
- Click the Restart button next to Restart iCUE Service.
