By default, your device lighting will switch to hardware lighting when you lock your PC. If you want your devices to turn off lighting when you lock your PC, you can do so in iCUE.

Disabling lock screen lighting for lighting controllers and coolers
- Open iCUE.
- Select the device you want to disable lighting on.
- Select LIGHTING CHANNEL on the left menu.
- Click HARDWARE LIGHTING.
- Click the dropdown menu and select STATIC COLOR.
- Set all RGB values to 0.
- If your device has multiple lighting channels, repeat steps 2 to 5 for every lighting channel.
Disabling lock screen lighting for Vengeance RGB PRO and Dominator Platinum RGB Memory
- Open iCUE.
- Click SETTINGS.
- Select the DRAM that you want to disable lighting on.
- Uncheck the Enable full software control checkbox to switch your DRAM to hardware lighting mode.
- Click HOME.
- Select the DRAM.
- Click LIGHTING EFFECTS in the left menu.
- Click the dropdown menu and select STATIC COLOR.
- Set all RGB values to 0.
- Wait for the lighting of your memory modules to turn off; this may take a few seconds.
- Go back to the SETTINGS tab and check the Enable full software control checkbox for your DRAM to switch back to software lighting mode.
Disabling lock screen lighting for keyboards and mice
To disable lock screen lighting for keyboards and mice, you will need to save the hardware settings to an onboard profile slot in your devices.
- Open iCUE.
- Select the device you want to disable lighting on.
- Select HARDWARE LIGHTING on the left menu.
- Select the dropdown menu and select STATIC COLOR.
- Set all RGB values to 0.
- Click ONBOARD PROFILES on the left menu.
- Save your hardware settings to an empty onboard profile slot or overwrite an existing slot.
- Repeat for every peripheral that has onboard memory.
