PCIe 3.0 Extension: How to fix video outputting issues when using the CORSAIR PCIe 3.0 extension cable
If your video card does not output video when you use a CORSAIR PCIe 3.0 extension cable on a PCIe 4.0 GPU or motherboard, you can fix the issue by changing the PCIe setting in your BIOS.
NOTE: Before accessing your BIOS, first reinstall your GPU directly into the PCIe slot on your motherboard. You can replace the extension cable after changing the PCIe setting.
- Access your PC BIOS.
- NOTE: Accessing BIOS will differ depending on the manufacturer of your PC. If your PC does not display what key to press to enter BIOS during startup, consult your PC manual to see what the BIOS key is.
- Find the PCIe setting and change it to Gen. 3 or PCIe 3.0.
- Replace the extension cable and see if your video card issue is fixed.
If you still encounter problems after changing the PCIe settings, contact Customer Support and we will help you with the issue.
