How to: Fix device detection issues after an iCUE update
If you run into a device detection issue when updating from one version of iCUE to another (e.g. from version 4.12.XXX to version 4.13.XXX), we have some steps to help you troubleshoot.
Please note that these troubleshooting steps only apply to detection issues after updating from one version of iCUE 4 to another. Detection issues experienced after updating iCUE 3 to iCUE 4 are caused by iCUE 4 being incompatible with certain devices. You can see which devices are supported by iCUE 4 by referring to our compatibility list for iCUE 4.
Fixing device detection issues
The first thing to do is double-check and make sure your device is properly connected to your PC system directly through a USB port. Make sure it is not connected through a USB hub/switch or a pass-through.
If the device is properly connected but you still experience issues:
- Type Apps & features in Windows search and select it.
- Find CORSAIR iCUE 4 Software and select it.
- Click Modify.
- When the installer window pops up, select Repair the application.
- Follow the prompts given to you.
- After the repair is completed, restart your PC system.
If the above steps do not solve the device detection issues, perform a clean uninstall of iCUE and then reinstall it. You can find instructions on how to do so in this article.
If your device still do not show up in iCUE after performing the steps above, contact Customer Support and we will provide further assistance.
