How do I use Corsair Windows Reporter Utility?

The Corsair Windows Reporter is a free utility that collects selected information from users of Corsair products. Corsair Support uses this information to help troubleshoot your issues.

Corsair Windows Reporter can be used on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, and Windows 11.

NOTE: Corsair Windows Reporter cannot be used on any phone, macOS, or Linux.

Steps for Downloading Corsair Windows Reporter

  1. Navigate to the article where Corsair Windows Reporter is available.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the download link.
  3. The file will be downloaded in a .zip format. Extract this zip file to access the executable file within.
    • Note: The executable will have a name like CorsairWindowsReporter_1.0.48.48.exe. The numbers in the file name may vary depending on the version.

Steps for Using Corsair Windows Reporter

  1. Right-click the downloaded executable file and select "Run as Administrator" to launch Corsair Windows Reporter.
  2. Click the "Start" button to initiate the collection of your computer's configuration files.
    • Enable "Add Memory Dump" and "Add Software Crash Dump" if instructed by a Corsair Agent.
  3. Wait for the process to complete. This may take a few minutes.
  4. Upon completion, a SupportInfo.zip file will be generated and saved to your Desktop.
    • The icon for this file may differ depending on the file extraction tool used on your system (Windows, Winrar, 7zip, etc.).

The contents of the SupportInfo.zip file are listed below. Corsair Support uses these files to analyze your support case.

 

Elgato

  • Settings, log files and crash dumps (optional) of all Elgato Windows software
  • %appdata%\Elgato (all files and sub-folders)

 

OBS

  • Specific OBS Studio settings and log files
  • %appdata%\obs-studio (files)
  • %appdata%\obs-studio\logs
  • %appdata%\obs-studio\crashes

SLOBS

  • Specific Streamlabs OBS settings and log files %appdata%\slobs-client (files)
  • %appdata%\slobs-client\logs
  • %appdata%\slobs-client\SceneConfigs
  • %appdata%\slobs-client\SceneCollections

 

XSplit

  • XSplit log files
  • C:\ProgramData\SplitMediaLabs\XSplit\logs

 

System info

  • SystemInfo.nfo - Windows system info to check for system components
  • SpeedTest.log - Upload speed measurement to check for speed limitations when streaming
  • InstalledSystemUpdates.csv - Installed Windows updates to check PC is up-to-date
  • EventLog.evtx - Application events of the last 7 days to detect application crashes
  • Processes.log - Currently running applications to detect applications that might affect overall system performance
  • Applications.log / Applications64bit.log - Installed applications to detect applications that are known to cause interferences with our apps
  • SystemInfo.log - same system info as in our log files to check for system components
  • DXDiagInfo.txt - DirectX related system info - dxdiag
  • Performance.xml - WinSAT data to detect performance limitations
  • Devices.log - Installed devices to detect driver problems
  • Minidump.dmp (optional) - Latest crash dump from C:\Windows\Minidump
  • USBtree.txt - Connected USB devices to detect problems related to USB controllers
