PSU: Fan continues spinning after shutdown?

Experiencing your Corsair PSU fan spinning after turning off your PC? Here's a quick solution to resolve this issue.

  • Restart and Enter BIOS: Restart your PC. Press the BIOS key (F2, Del, F10, or F12) shown on your startup screen to enter BIOS setup.
  • Locate Power Settings: Find the "Power Management" or similar section in the BIOS.
  • Activate ErP: Look for "ErP Ready," "ErP Support," or "EuP Lot 6" and change its setting to "Enabled."
  • Save Changes: Save your settings (usually F10) and exit. Your PC will reboot.

What's ErP? ErP stands for Energy-related Products. Enabling it helps your system meet energy-saving standards, significantly reducing power use when off, including stopping that PSU fan.

After these steps, your PSU fan should cease spinning post-shutdown.

If you are still experiencing issues where the fan continues to spin after activating ErP please contact our support team further to assist.
