iCUE:How to turn off CORSAIR RGB memory lighting when your computer powers off
If you want the lighting of your CORSAIR RGB memory to turn off whenever you power off your computer, you can do it by setting up Hardware Lighting in iCUE.
There are two options to do this. The first option should work for most people, but if the first option does not turn off RGB LEDs when your computer is sleeping or off, try the second option instead.
NOTE: Make sure iCUE is updated to version 4 or newer.
Option 1: Remove default lighting
Your first option is the remove the default lighting option and do not add any additional lighting options.
- Open iCUE.
- Hover your mouse over your RGB memory on the home screen and select Hardware Lighting.
- Delete the default lighting option.
- Save your changes by moving to a different tab, such as DIMM Setup or Lighting Effects.
Option 2: Create a static lighting effect
If Option 1 does not work for you, you can try creating a lighting effect with black as the color option.
- Open iCUE.
- Hover your mouse over your RGB memory on the home screen and select Hardware Lighting.
- Click + in Lighting Layers to create a new lighting layer.
- Select Static Color in the Lighting Type section.
- Select All in the Quick Lighting Zone section.
- Change the color in Static Color to black; you can also set all three RGB values to 0.
