Creating key assignments

You can use the Key Assignments function to create key assignments in iCUE. If you want your key assignments to work even when iCUE is not running, you can create those key assignments in Hardware Key Assignments.

NOTE: When creating hardware key assignments, make sure you save the profile onto the onboard memory of your K65 Mini.

To create key assignments:

1. Hover your mouse cursor over K65 RGB MINI.
2. Select Key Assignments or Hardware Key Assignments.
3. Click the + button in the Assignments section on the bottom left.
4. In the Assignment Type section, select the assignment type you want to create.
5. Select the key you want to map the assignment to.
   • If you want the key assignment to be mapped to a function layer, click the + button under Modifier and then press the FN key or the FN and Menu keys.
6. Configure your assignment.
   

Setting lighting effects

The lighting effects of your K65 Mini can be configured in iCUE. You can choose from preset effects, custom effects, or lighting link effects that sync with all your iCUE-supported devices.

NOTE: If you want to use your lighting effects even when iCUE is not running, set your lighting effects in Hardware Lighting and remember to save your profile onto the onboard memory of your K65 Mini.

To set lighting effects:

1. Hover your mouse over K65 RGB MINI.
2. Select Lighting Effects or Hardware Lighting.
3. If you are adding another lighting layer, click the + button in the Lighting Layers section.
4. In the Lighting Type section, select the lighting type you want to apply.
   
   
   
5. Select the lighting zone for your lighting effect using the keyboard in iCUE; you can do this by:
   • Selecting individual keys
   • Press the CTRL key and select multiple keys
   • Click and drag to select a large number of keys at once
   • Select one of the options under Quick Lighting Zone

Configuring performance

The Performance tab lets you:

• Disable certain keys and key combinations when Win Lock is enabled
• Change the color of the Win Lock, profile, and macro recording indicators

Configuring device settings

The Device Settings tab lets you:

• Check for and apply firmware updates for your K65 Mini
• Set the polling rate of your keyboard
• Adjust the brightness of the keyboard
• Set the layout of your keyboard
• Enable or disable the Swap Menu Key functions setting
• Enable or disable lock indicators
• Save or delete onboard profiles

By default, the polling rate of your keyboard will be set to 1000Hz / msec. If you want to use a higher polling rate, you will need to manually select it in the Polling Rate dropdown menu.
