When first connecting fans or lighting strips to a Commander Pro or Lighting Node Pro, only one device will illuminate by default. You must configure your setup in iCUE for all fans and strips to light up correctly.
Important: If you connect 6 QL fans and 4 RGB LED strips to a Lighting Node Pro, iCUE will only allow customization of the fans.
For iCUE Link Fan Setup:
- Open the iCUE software.
- On the Home screen, select your iCUE System Hub.
- Go to Lighting Setup and click Run Wizard.
- iCUE will prompt you to restart the software so it can detect your fans.
-
After restarting, return to the Home screen and confirm that all fans are recognized.

For Legacy Controller Fans:
- Open the iCUE software.
- Select your controller on the Home screen.
- Select 4-Pin Lighting Effects for setting up fans or 3-Pin Lighting Effects for other RGB strips.
- Select Lighting Setup.
- Either let iCUE automatically detect your Corsair fans, or manually select the appropriate product.
- Drag and drop the fans in the preview image in the correct order of your case setup, then change the orientation to match the lighting on your fans.
- To assign lighting to your fans or strips, select the fan series you want to edit on the left menu.
- Click the + symbol in the Lighting Layers section on the bottom left.
- Use the options to customize the lighting effects as you wish.
- NOTE: If you select a LIGHTING LINK effect in Lighting Type, it will apply the lighting effect to all iCUE-compatible devices currently connected to your PC.
For ARGB Fans:
You will want to first identify how the fans are connected to the system.
If the fans are connected to a Commander Duo, follow the steps for setting up the fans in the Quick Start Guide here: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/explorer/diy-builder/accessories/corsair-commander-duo/
If the fans are connected directly to the motherboard, consult your motherboards User Manual for how to set up the RGB of the fans.
