Turning Off RGB LEDs in iCUE

Looking for stealth mode? Follow these steps to disable the RGB LEDs for any Corsair product that syncs with iCUE.

  • For iCUE version 4 or newer
  • For iCUE version 3

 

For iCUE version 4 or newer

Method 1

This is the quickest and easiest method, and it configures all devices at once.

  1. Open iCUE.
  2. Click Home in the upper left corner.
  3. Click the + button next to Scenes.

  4. Click Custom next to Type.

  5. In the Effect dropdown menu, select Static Color.

  6. Slide the bottom slider all the way to the left; this should give you the color black.

  7. Enter a name for your custom scene in the Scene Name field.
  8. Click Create.
  9. Select your new scene in the Scenes section.

Method 2

This method disables lighting for specified products and retains settings without iCUE running. Note that only devices with hardware profiles can be configured to retain settings without iCUE running, though these steps can be used with software profiles for more exact lighting control while iCUE is running.

Skip step 4 if your device does not support hardware profiles.

  1. Open iCUE.
  2. Click Home in the upper left corner.
  3. Click the device you want to configure on the Home screen.
  4. Click Hardware Lighting.
  5. Click the + button on the Lighting Layers section.
  6. In the Lighting Type section, click the CUSTOM dropdown menu.
  7.  Click Static Color.

  8. Click the colored circle in the Static Color section.
  9. Set the # value to six zeroes (000000).

  10. Delete any other lighting effects currently set to your device by clicking the menu button on the right of the lighting layer, then clicking Delete.
  11. Repeat steps above for any other devices you want to configure.

 

 

For iCUE version 3

Method 1

This is the quickest and easiest method, and it configures all devices at once.

  1. Open iCUE
  2. Click the Instant Lighting menu
  3. Click the black square

Method 2 

This method disables lighting for specified products and retains settings without iCUE. Note that only devices with hardware profiles can be configured to retain settings without iCUE, though these steps can be used with software profiles for more exact lighting control while iCUE is running. Skip step 4 if configuring a hardware profile is not supported or desired for your device.

  1. Open iCUE
  2. Click the Home menu
  3. Click on the image of the intended device on the right
  4. Click the hardware profile for that device on the left (usually some variation of "HW1," with a black and yellow icon of an SD card next to it)
  5. Click on the Lighting Effects menu on the left to expand
  6. Click the "+" on the Lighting Effects menu
  7. Click the drop-down menu near the center of the screen (Rainbow Wave is the default); under "Custom," select "Static Color"
  8. Change the values the "#" field to six zeroes (000000)
  9. Delete any other lighting effects by selecting them and clicking the trash can button

Repeat if configuring additional devices.
