iCUE: How to fix unwanted RGB lighting changes in iCUE

If you run into an issue where the RGB lighting of your devices changes into a color that you did not set in iCUE, it is possible that your computer system has software that is interfering with iCUE. Follow the steps below to fix this issue.

• Step 1: Uninstall conflicting programs

Step 1: Uninstall conflicting programs

Look for any programs you may have installed that may be interfering with iCUE, especially if you have any other software that also controls RGB lighting. Uninstall those programs to prevent them from interfering with iCUE.

Programs that are known to interfere with iCUE include:

• EVGA Precision XOC
• MSI Mystic Light
• Asus Aura RGB
• Opera GX

Step 2: Repair iCUE

Once you have uninstalled the conflicting programs, the next step is to repair iCUE.

1. Open Device Manager.
2. Select Human Interface Devices.
3. Right-click Corsair composite virtual input device and select Uninstall device.
4. Tick the Delete the driver software for this device checkbox, and then click Uninstall.
   
   
   
   
5. Navigate to Installed Apps on your system
6. Locate Corsair iCUE 5 Software and select the 3 dots, followed by modify.
   
7. iCUE will then repair itself and you will have the option to Start iCUE.
   
8. You may want to reboot your PC if you are still having lighting issues.

What to do next if the issue is not resolved

If uninstalling conflicting programs and repairing iCUE does not fix the issue, you can iCUE SDK and Game SDK in iCUE as a temporary fix while we help you find a more permanent solution.

You can disable SDKs by following these instructions:

1. Click the Settings icon on the upper right of the screen.
   
2. Navigate to SDK and Disable them.
