1. Open Device Manager

Right-click the Windows Start icon (Figure 1) then select the "Device Manager" option(Figure 2).
Windows menu with Device Manager highlighted.

2. Delete HS80 MAX Drivers in Device Manager

In Device Manager, look under "Audio inputs and outputs" (Figure 3) and "Sound, video and game controllers"(Figure 4) for any HS80 MAX drivers. If found, right-click each HS80 MAX driver and select "Uninstall device" to remove them.

3. Uninstall and Clean Install iCUE

Please use the hyperlinked article for iCUE clean install steps.

4. Restart Your PC

After uninstalling iCUE and the HS80 MAX drivers, restart your computer.

5. Connect the Headset

With your PC restarted, connect your HS80 MAX headset to the PC. Allow the drivers to auto-install. This process should ideally introduce 3 drivers:

Two drivers under "Audio Inputs and Outputs"(Figure 3 & 4) (one for the microphone and one for the earphone). One driver under "Sound, Video and Game Controllers".(Figure 5)

6. Verify and Adjust Driver Installation

If the driver under "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" is missing, install iCUE but do not install the
headset module when the iCUE prompt comes up

In properties, verify the manufacturer is listed as CORSAIR and ensure this driver is enabled.

7. Restart PC and Finalize Setup in iCUE

Restart your PC once more. Open iCUE to ensure everything is correctly recognized and configured.

This organized approach ensures that your HS80 MAX headset drivers are correctly installed and that iCUE is cleanly reinstalled to potentially solve any issues you were experiencing.
