HS80 MAX: Resolve Wireless Connection or Pairing Issues with Your HS80 Max Headset
If you're experiencing wireless connection issues with your HS80 Max headset, such as the dongle blinking red or the LED being off, often, this problem can be caused by the headset being switched into Bluetooth mode, preventing it from connecting to the Dongle and, consequently, not passing audio to the headset.
When the receiver is connected to the headset and operating normally, the LED will turn solid white. If the receiver cannot connect to the headset, the LED will blink red rapidly.
Accidentally clicking on the POWER BUTTON can result in the headset to move from RF mode to BT mode, causing the dongle to blink red.
To switch back to RF mode, quick press the power button to toggle back to RF mode from Bluetooth.
Furthermore, identify if your HS80 Max Dongle is on latest firmware version 0.11.86, our team has recently addressed this issue and should improve overall performance of your headset.
If you've followed the steps above and your HS80 Max headset is still experiencing disconnection issues, another troubleshooting step we recommend is to temporarily close the iCUE software on your computer to check if iCUE is related.
This will help identify whether any background processes or settings might be impacting the headset's performance through the dongle. To do this, simply exit the iCUE software via the system tray on your computer.
