How to: Fix the NVIDIA high-definition output device driver

If you are experiencing issues with the NVIDIA high-definition output device driver after updating it, you can try rolling back to a previous version of the driver to see if it resolves the issue.
To roll back a driver:
Go to your system's Device Manager.
Click Sound, video and game controllers.
Right-click Realtek High Definition Audio and click Properties.
Click the Driver tab.
Click Roll Back Driver.
